10.2 IPSec VPN connections

10.2.1 Configuring the IPSec protocol

Select the “Setup” menu, the “network” menu and then ‘VPN

connections”.

Select the “Ipsec” type of VPN,

Click “Properties” .

“Encryption Protocol ” parameter

Select ESP to encrypt the data flow; select AH, if no encryption is required

or if NAT traversal is required.

“Authentication & encryption key” parameters

Authentication an encryption can be carried-out with a pre-shared key or a certificate.

“Pre-shared key” value :

The pre-shared key value applies to all the connections.

The maximum length of the key is 40 characters.
